About me
I've been developing websites since 1996, I was living in Scunthorpe, working for a packaging company as a production planner when I thought, there has to be more to life than this. 3 weeks later I was on a plane to Hong Kong with a plan to start there, get a job or go travelling. I met a recruitment consultant who needed someone to input CVs into a database for a few weeks, they were having a website built, but it was only half finished so he asked me if I wanted to finish the job, and learn while I earned. It sounded like a good idea to me, so that is how I got started. 14 years on, I still love the job and have seen the web move on in massive leaps and bounds.
I have worked for a range of companies, and have been lucky enough to work in some great locations such as Hong Kong, Amsterdam and the Costa Blanca, Spain. I can recommend them all! The projects I have worked on have ranged from small, brochure sites, through to large e-commerce projects and start up websites.
Skillset
Whilst I am primarily a front-end developer, with main skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I have also worked on different backend skills so,1have a good working knowledge of ASP and PHP, along with some reasonable design skills using Photoshop and Fireworks. I have even been known to throw a bit of XML and Ajax into the equation for good measure when needed.
